The problem

Most companies in the United States use background checks to vet job-seekers before hiring them, but the review process is often influenced by biases. As a result, people with records are denied employment and the chance to move on from their past.

Our mission

We believe everyone should have a fair chance to work, so our goal is to normalize fair chance hiring. We know that job seekers’ lives often depend on having access to work, and so we’re expanding the idea of a qualified candidate.
